A low sheen between gloss and matte. Works with most paint colors.
Flat, with no reflection. Needs matte-safe care: no wax or polish.
Swatches are on-screen approximations.
Chrome delete covers bright exterior trim in vinyl film, usually black, for the darker look of a modern blackout package.
Each piece is cleaned, then the film is cut, heated and formed to it and wrapped around its edges. Nothing is sanded or painted, and the original chrome stays underneath, so going back to stock is always an option.
It can be done on its own or alongside a full or partial color change.
Beltline and window surround trim. The most common chrome delete.
Chrome grille frames and bright grille trim. Fine mesh and deeply textured grilles are assessed case by case.
Model badges and emblems blacked out to match the rest of the trim.
Chrome mirror caps in black, or in a contrast finish from the library.
Bumper inserts, side vent trim and other bright accent pieces that suit film.
Not every chrome part should be wrapped. Exhaust tips run too hot for vinyl, and heavily textured, pitted or very fine parts can be better painted or replaced. We'll tell you at the consult.
Most chrome deletes use one of the three blacks above.
Trim can also be done in carbon fiber, brushed metal or a contrasting color from the library.

A set of badges is a small job. Window trim, grille, badges and mirrors together is a much bigger one.
Flat window trim forms quickly. Curved grille frames, slats and small emblems take far more time.
Some cars keep their chrome to a few simple strips. Others run it around windows, bumpers and vents.
Standard gloss, satin and matte blacks cost less than carbon, brushed or other specialty films.
Pitted or peeling chrome can show through film or shorten its life, and may need a different fix.
Treat it like any wrap: hand wash or touchless only, mild soap, no brushes. Trim sits where seals and hands rub, so skip harsh chemicals and abrasive pads, and never aim a pressure washer at a trim edge.
The film is designed to come off. Heat softens the adhesive, the vinyl peels away and any residue is cleaned off, leaving the original chrome. Have it done by a pro so the trim isn't scratched.
It comes down to how many pieces, how complex they are and which film you choose. Window trim alone is a different job from a full blackout with grille, badges and mirrors.

Outdoor-rated wrap film lasts years on trim, and the exact rating depends on the film you choose. High-contact edges like window trim can wear sooner, and full Florida sun ages any film faster. Good washing habits help it last.
Yes. The vinyl peels off with heat and the original chrome is still underneath. It's one of the main reasons people choose vinyl over paint.
Many factory blackout packages use gloss black, so gloss tends to blend in. Satin and matte look stealthier. We hold samples against your existing black trim at the consult so you can see the match on your car.
